ACoccidiosis is a disease caused by protozoan parasites of the Eimeria strain that grow in the intestines of most birds and wild animals.

Coccidia is one of the most common diseases in poultry and causes huge losses in poultry annually.

Treatment of coccidiosis in poultry in general and birds in particular is summarized in getting rid of the Eimeria parasites present in the bird’s intestines, allowing it to begin to recover.

*Celoxet is characterized by containing 3 active substances used in treating coccidiosis and improving feed intake after recovery:

1- Celoxet contains 1% diclazuril, which is used to prevent and treat most types of coccidiosis that affect broilers, layers, turkeys and rabbits.

2- Celoxet contains garlic extract, which is a natural alternative to antibiotics in addition to stimulating the appetite.

3 – Declaplus contains Yucca extract, which works to stop diarrhea and reduce the percentage of ammonia in the barn… As is known, Yucca has an important role confirmed by scientific research in enhancing the length of the intestinal villi

Dosage: 1 cm / per 1 liter of water for 12 hours for 3 days

It is recommended not to use this product in laying hens

 

General information about coccidiosis, symptoms and prevention methods

There are several types of Eimeria parasites that cause coccidiosis:

1. Eimeria tenella, which infects the cecum.
2. Eimeria necatrix, which infects the small intestine.
3. Eimeria Brunnetti, which infects the small intestine.
4. Eimeria maxima, which infects the small intestine
5. Eimeria acervulina, which infects the duodenum.
6. Eimeria hagani infects the duodenum.
7. Eimeria mitis infects the duodenum.
8. Eimeria mivati ​​infects the duodenum.
9 .Eimeria praecox infects the duodenum.
 
Symptoms of coccidiosis:

Symptoms in birds infected with coccidiosis can vary depending on the severity of the infection. If coccidiosis is left untreated, malnutrition and dehydration can occur. In some cases, lack of prompt and effective treatment can lead to bird deaths.

The most common symptoms:

Brown or red diarrhea accompanied by bleeding
Weight loss
Lack of vitality
Fluffy feathers

How to prevent coccidiosis:

1- Good disinfection before the start of the cycle and use disinfectants that eliminate the Eimeria snails found on the floor and walls of the barn
2- Early diagnosis of symptoms to enable rapid treatment so that the chicken does not lose weight
3- Work on preventive treatment for coccidiosis at the times expected to appear

Important note
It is recommended not to use this product in laying hens
The period for withdrawing this product from the bird’s body is 10 days
